Ventrilo Server

I think we should have our own ventrilo server that we could connect to as we do raids n stuff. Just my 2 cents. This would help keep guildies in touch, we could have messages posted on the vent server that would keep ppl up-to-date with guild events without having to log on wow. For people that are in a rush.

I dunno, I dont use it xD but theres a link in the guild info.

Guys we do have vent, but the problem is - Pawner is the host and how often do u see him online, and besides he needs to be online in order the vent to be up and running - i suggested that we find a way for a stabile host, that's all.

so are we getting a new server? or what?

look, the vent info can be found on the guild info tab ingame - but the point is - the vent is up only when Pawner's PC is turned on, and we don't know when that is

i agree with bain, we do need a new ventrilo server, but this comes with some problems:

1: to have a vent server we need someone who has their pc on ALL THE TIME, and not many people can do this
2: we need that someone to know how to host a vent server and how to admin it
3: ...ok there is no third point

this is, open to discussion on how we do this

i think we should try to get one...we really need it for raids and stuff like that, well, we'll have to use pawnner's for a while until we can get a 24/7 one

as i said on WOW we could petition for a vent server on WOWscape, bain was gonna chck this i believe

Yeah, i did check some stuff, but apparently i can't find anythin out, so pls all search for a suitable sollution on ammel's proposition

The basic guild requirements to get your own Vent channel are listed below
- Must should at least 200 players (not characters)
- Must be an active guild
- Must be respectable
- Must prove to Vent that you will have 5+ players in vent at any time.

omg, lets do it. I'll be one of the 24/7 vent 5 min ppl. /launch vent startup. How do we go about getting this done? how many players we got?

Hmm... i can count about 20 atm... that would be 1/10 of the number required so go QQ

i hope they dont mean active players.....
